Rafale to Drones…, A Story of IAF decline, in 24 hours
India has ventured into another domain of drone warfare, reaching out to urban centers in Pakistan. This is the time, we need to highlight evolving Strategic Culture of India as a state. Their view of the world, Political orientation, Domestic Policies and Security Perspectives; seems nothing more than being childish….. Failure in putting their own, house in order; they’re resorting to play with fire, for domestic political gains…
“Pakistan’s drone technology and employment prowess are far superior, we have limited tolerance to go further in this direction; If India doesn’t mend its behavior, we are under no compulsion to respond and continue with exercising restraint in the same domain. It is an act of war and will be responded at will and with choices wrapped around all the options”
“Indian propaganda, creating rationale for drone attacks and ingress, is totally rejected…. The madness has come to an end. They’re visible in our cities and will be responded without restraint; across Indian cities. Be ready for unmanned humiliation… coming up next”
They have made an absolutely wrong choice while selecting Pakistan as the external player, they can manipulate; to settle their domestic challenges.
“Performance they don’t have; Rafale couldn’t do much; and now drones supposedly will save BJP in elections….”
Unfortunately, India hasn’t been able to comprehend fully; the transformation, that has recently come about within the armed forces of Pakistan; and particularly so its Air Force. This isn’t about the equipment alone; It’s the motivation, character and operational culture that’s at play. With transformed training, niche inductions, well-articulated indigenization and through that, a sustainable developmental focus that PAF has been pursuing over last few years; it will continue to guarantee humiliation of IAF.
Indian perceived end state, isn’t possible through coercion at least for Pakistan. By just changing a domain; considering capability and performance still remain the core strengths of Pakistani armed forces, opening a new domain, would only open a new option for Pakistan to humiliate India further.
The only enduring trend that I see; Indian armed forces venture into an adventure at will, but meet humiliating end as a compulsion. Unfortunately, this highlights a growing trait of miscalculation in Indian security establishment. Alternatively, it also highlights dangerous pursuit of populism; wherein, right wing hawkish mind set is dominating the strategic balance of a state. A very dangerous development indeed; raises further queries: –
1. Does India under BJP, present a balanced strategic culture at the leadership level?
2. Is India as a state, worth handing over the reginal stability to; if global powers have to ?
3. With right wing hawks, in lead; does Indian strategic capability present a prelude to catastrophe only?
4. Does India have the right culture to absorb power and the capability to retain balance, while projecting its influence?
5. Do we see stability at the end of the road; if India resorts to power alone as a priority tool to handle issues?
6. Is world ready to give in, to Indian hawks that continue to exploit given leverages, and foment instability in the region.
